New Views and Homepage in Google Drive
New Views
November 8, 2023
Google Drive launched two new views to better manage requests, comments, and approvals and quickly access the most frequently used files.
Shows all pending access requests, recent comments, and approvals for files to help you quickly see recent activity and take action, all in one place.
This is a place where you can see all the workspaces, whether they are visible or hidden. Workspaces are ways to collect any files you can access, including content stored in your My Drive and various Shared Drives.

Homepage - Coming Soon
December 28, 2023
Google will have a new streamlined homepage for Google Drive called Home. It is expected to be rolled out end of January 2024.
Specifically, you’ll notice:
Personalized file and folder suggestions with machine learning suggestions utilize a variety of signals, such as what files or folders you’ve recently opened, shared, or edited, or what documents are attached to upcoming Calendar events.
Filter chips to narrow down your search and find relevant files faster across Drive, making it easy to find suggested files by type, people, modified date, or location.
A more modern design in line with Google Material Design 3 guidelines that helps you navigate across Drive much more efficiently.
Soon when you visit drive.google.com, you will be directed to the 'Home' page instead of 'My Drive'. However, if you prefer to set 'My Drive' as your default page, you can do so by clicking on the "Change to My Drive" option available on the banner displayed on the 'Home' page.
